  1. Clement Attlee, when he was Prime Minister, attended the wedding of Sir Stafford Cripps's daughter and a Ghanaian diplomat. Stafford Cripps was Attlee's Chancellor of the Exchequer. I think they had two children, a son and a daughter. Their son (Prof Appiah) is now a Professor of Philosophy in New York. Mrs Appiah (his mother) chose to be buried in Ghana.
