  1. It's difficult. It's not as if the massacre of primary-school children is a once-in-50-years event. It seems to be routine. School students wear bullet-proof backpacks to school. They have Shooter Drills once a term, along with Fire Drills. This is not normal - meaning healthy. It is pathological. In light of American history, I kind of understand Americans' attitude to guns. However, I can't understand the apparent reluctance to discriminate between sane and mad people. It could be open to abuse of course. Anything can be. It's up to thinking people to find a way round this. There are no easy solutions in life. But continuing with massacre after massacre of primary-school children? Really?
