Professor Sunetra Gupta of Oxford University told everyone in March, 2020 that lockdown was a bad idea. She explained in detail what should be done to protect the most vulnerable and keep as much of the economy open as possible. She was ignored. I personally think that Boris's behaviour illustrates his contempt for 'the little people', ie me. During the lockdowns people could not be with their dying grandparent, dads could not attend the birth of their baby which they wanted to do, I heard a man on radio telling how he could not be at the funeral of his brother, because of quotas. People remember this, even if they are not talking about it loudly all the time. The police - as usual - decided themselves who to arrest and who to leave alone, in the case of breaking the law.
