  1. That was the Maya Forstater judgment. She had to fight in the courts for two years to get the law to admit that a person has the right to hold a 'philosophical belief'. The 'philosophical belief' in question was that there are two human biological sexes - female and male and 'transitioning' between them is not scientifically possible. The judgment was obtained on appeal, s the first judge had said that holding such beliefs was not acceptable in a democratic society.
