  1. 'The Asian Community' - non-Muslim Asians get upset by this phrase being applied in an over-inclusive way. Indians, Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists and far-eastern people (eg Chinese and Japanese) do not like to be categorised along with 'Muslim men of Pakistani heritage who have committed heinous crimes'. These people should be described accurately. We have to search for convicted prisoners in British prisons who are Hindu, Sikh or Buddhist - whereas nearly half of prisoners in British prisons are Muslim (5 (?) percent of the general population). The Office of National Statistics (ONS) is now refusing to publish an analysis of crimes committed per ethnicity of the convicted criminal. Other European countries do this.
