  1. At the risk of nagging, Leo, the £440 million Britain paid to Iran had been legally owed by Britain to Iran since 1979. It was not a ransom for N Zaghari-Radcliffe. She cannot criticise the Iranian Government in public because she has parents and relatives living in Iran. It is a compliment to this country that she can criticise the Government without fear.
