  1. One of the problems with such organisations is that so much depends on who is the Director. Tedros Gebreyesos is the first Director not to be medically qualified (I think his doctorate is in earth sciences). He presided - when he was Minister of Health in his country - over three cholera epidemics, learning nothing from experience. He was made Director of the WHO because he - and the WHO - is the creature of the Emperor of China. He allowed Covid to become a pandemic at China's orders - acquiescing to the continuation of flights from China to the rest of the World - at orders from China - even after China had banned internal flights

  2. Tedros declared a Pandemic long after he ought to have done. Compare SARS-1 (2002-03) when Gro Harlan Brundtland was Director of the WHO - 8,000 dead worldwide. Admittedly it was a different virus, but it did not become endemic, as SARS-CoV-2 has.

  3. I need to correct the figure I gave in my above comment. I think the number of cases of SARS-CoV-1 (2002-03) was 8,000, and the recorded deaths were 700 to 800.
