I sympathize with Katie Glass and admire her honesty. The country life does not suit everyone - chacun(e) à son gout. What I think is missed in the 'life is time-limited' truth, is that men do not go on forever either (as you have pointed out). Some men get to the age of 50 and realise with a shock that there are no little replicas of themselves strutting around, and so they try to get together with women young enough to be their daughter, only to find that the only women they can actually talk to, and who understand what they are saying, are women who are the same age as themselves, and therefore not able to have a family with them. Perhaps they should have been paying attention to these women 15 or 20 years previously. I think mothers should talk to their sons about this at an appropriate age.
