In this country there is a shortage of 'desirable' children to adopt, ie infants who have not been damaged by suffering several years of abuse prior to adoption, who have no disabilities, etc. Not everyone is suited to be a parent. It is better not to be a parent than to be a bad parent.

Btw, I think the Liverpool bomber on Remembrance Sunday was aiming for the Anglican Cathedral. I think it was where he asked the taxi driver to go. If the driver had not become suspicious and driven into the hospital car park, the bomber would have entered a packed Cathedral just after 11.00 am, during the two minutes' silence. I think the taxi driver deserves a medal.

To young men who think it would probably be good eventually to become the married father of a family: the inevitable female menopause affects you too. Don't wait until you are 50 to do this. You may find that 25-year-olds regard you as an old codger, reminding them of their father, and the only people who understand what you are saying are 50-year-olds. Perhaps start paying attention to women of 30-35?
