  1. American sitcoms are the best. They are so highly written, because the Americans pay so much for writers. I also like American stand-up comedy. The comedians expect to force you to laugh against your will - you would have to do this with a Glaswegian audience - whereas British comedians, it seems to me, expect you to like them because they're there.
