  1. The man is probably a nutcase - I'm suggesting paranoid schizophrenia. He should probably have been in a secure psychiatric facility, or at least have been closely supervised to ensure that he took his medication - I am speculating, of course.

  2. When it comes to convicted terrorists, evidence shows that in the vast majority of cases, they do not change. I am seriously considering the value of capital punishment for these people. Why should we spend £50,000 per annum at today's prices, per person, to keep us safe from them for the next 50 years?
