  2. Harry Miller (a former policeman) took the police to court for 'coming to check his thinking'. He won. The judge in the case said that what the police had done was unlawful and that 'Non-Crime Hate Incidents (NCHIs)' had to stop. TWO Conservative Home Secretaries ordered the police to stop doing this. It has not stopped. What NCHIs are: 1 A person complains to the police that you have committed a 'hate incident', and would you like to come to the station for questioning? 2 You are not told what the thing you have written or said is. 3 You are not told who the 'complainant' is. 4 Your name will be held on their records as your having committed a crime. This will be repeated to potential employers and may prevent you getting a job. 5 You may or may not be informed that this has happened. You can be on police records for a 'NCHI' without knowing. 6 Apparently, a police officer earns points by accumulating 'NCHIs' and this can help with his quest for promotion.😡
