  1. Film 'Napoleon' by Abel Ganz (1925?). Silent, black and white, with subtitles and inter-titles - it indicates when the characters, eg Nelson, are being quoted verbatim. Try to see it on a big screen - I saw it in NFT1 in the British Film Institute. Six and a half hours plus intermissions. Five stars for everything.
