The way she was dressed was how no African woman would ever dress. Lady Susan Hussey may have been sussing Marlene out to protect Camilla who was present. Lady Hussey had six decades of doing this - she may have sussed consciously or preconsciously that there was something inauthentic about the person she was talking to.
