  2. Regarding psychosis: in some parts of Africa and Asia, serious mental illness is regarded as shameful and to be hidden. It is therefore not treated. A family which has emigrated to a country where psychosis is regarded differently, and which has a member suffering from a psychosis may therefore react in the same way as they would in their country of birth. The psychosis may be hidden, even denied, and go untreated. There is a further danger for vulnerable young people which is relatively new - the internet. Bad actors take every opportunity to groom and recruit vulnerable young people to their nefarious causes.
