  1. Phew! He's trying to keep his job at NBC. I suppose if he knew anything he would get the sack. What Konstatin did not emphasise during the part if the conversation about cultural differences is the fact that large portions of the people who have settled in Britain - second- or third-generation people of, say, Pakistani heritage - not only know nothing about British geography, history, politics, economics, law or art, and have little interest in learning English properly, and even often forbid their women-folk to learn it at all - they DO NOT RECOGNISE THE LAW OF THE LAND AS HAVING ANY VALIDITY. Forty-thousand of them (40,000) are under MI5 surveillance.
