From 'The Times' (British), 13 April 2023, p 19: This was an Industrial Tribunal case of Unfair Dismissal brought against London Underground by a long-standing employee of 32 years. She was sacked for a Facebook remark criticising the American George Floyd, apparently being less than complimentary of him. She won £7,284 on appeal, 'because of procedural errors in the original disciplinary process'. She had pleaded Freedom of Speech in the original hearing. The judge at the appeal hearing, Mr Richard Wood, said, 'comments which are inflammatory and/or offensive risk falling outside the parameters of free speech'.
