  3. The trouble is, honest people's default position is to assume that other people are being honest - as honest as themselves. Thus, when the Chief Medical Officer of the country, the Chief Scientific Officer, and the Prime Minister all tell me that a vaccine is (a) safe and effective to protect the individual - me - against a pandemic disease which has killed many people around the World, and (b) is an efficient precautionary measure to limit or even prevent the transmission of Covid-19 to other people in the event that one had contracted the illness, I am inclined to believe them. My trust in Authority has taken a severe blow.
