It started as the European Coal and Steel Community in, I think, 1950. In 1957, the Treaty of Rome founded The Common Market, which became the EEC (European Economic Community) in 1975 when, after Ted Heath had taken Britain in, in 1973, Harold Wilson gave us a Referendum on whether to stay in - Britain said 'Yes' by two-thirds to one-third votes. Ireland, Denmark and Norway followed Britain in, and it was called The EEC (European Economic Community). In 1993(?2) this became the EU (European Union) with the Maastricht Treaty, and some countries joined the Schengen Agreement, abolishing borders between these countries, and discussing the possibility of a common currency. The Maastricht Treaty dictated the Four Free Echanges - goods, services, capital, people.

Disgraceful. Yesterday, I had a great experience in London's Charing X Hospital A&E. This was YESTERDAY, 31 October 2023. Two days previously, I fell backwards and broke a bone in my wrist. In A&E, yesterday, I was registered, details taken, triaged, X-rayed, X-rays deciphered, and I was talked to by the radiologist who described in detail what had happened to my wrist, then he put it in a wrist splint, then gave me some codeine stronger than I could buy over the counter. That was me done, and mightily relieved. This was all on the NHS, and it took less than TWO HOURS in total. Five stars, Charing X Hospital! I have just had a phone call from them saying that the orthopaedic surgeon will check up on me next week.๐

Like all other attacks on the English language by the Critical Social Justice Theorists, Critical Race Theorists, Queer Theory supporters, genderoids, and Maoists, the words they use mean the opposite of the dictionary definition.
Thus:
antiracist = racist,
Inclusivity = exclusion (a recent example being that of Dr Cuthbert, of Don't Divide Us, from the Conference on Education in London three days ago),
AntiFascist = Fascist,
Diversity = an intellectual and cultural monoculture.
Now we have 'Conversion therapy', which used to mean giving aversion therapy - sometimes electric shocks - to gay men in a vain attempt to make them heterosexual. Obviously, this is execrable and is fortunately, at least in Britain, outlawed and should never be allowed.
Now they are calling giving confused - or just curious - children, or distressed adolescents psychotherapy for their anxiety, depression or PTSD, or help with their autism, conversion therapy. The SNP's proposed law will not only criminalise psychiatrists and psychotherapists who try to give relevant therapy to children and adolescents, it will also criminalise parents who try to be parents.

A woman from the Gulf States was wearing a long dress, which was printed with Arabic writing all over it, in Lahore, Pakistan. She was surrounded by a mob of hundreds of yelling men calling for her blood because 'she had sat disrespectfully on verses from the Qu'ran, thus committing blasphemy'. She was rescued by an outstandingly brave female police officer who put her own life at risk to lead the woman out of the mob.
It turned out that the Arabic writing did not say anything from the Qu'ran, but said things like 'this dress is beautiful'. The mob, most of whom were probably illiterate and could not even read Urdu, recognised Arabic writing and assumed that it was from the Qu'ran - after all, nothing else has been published in Arabic, has it? It shows you how much they must understand of their holy text. Btw, the works of 13th and 14th century Islamic philosophers such as Averroes, Avicenna and Ibn Rushd, are banned in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf States today.

If unbearable physical pain is not being caused by endometriosis or some other serious illness, which must be investigated, then it needs to be managed. This is perfectly possible in a first-world country in the 21st century.
However, it must be recognised that for a part of the body to detach itself from the main part of the body (the endometrium of the uterus being expelled) requires a catastrophic hormonal fluctuation. This will have an effect on the brain, and immediately before menstruation starts, one will feel physically and psychologically not as strong as one normally does. There will be bank accounts of resilience, patience, humour, empathy, toleration, which are normally there to draw on if required, which will simply be closed when one is in 'the progesterone plunge' - those hours (it should not be more than a day) when the sudden cessation of progesterone secretion, combined with the low level of oestrogen, makes one vulnerable and relatively weak. This is definitely a time to stay well away from sexists, sadists and bullies, if at all possible. When menstruation begins, one should be 'on the way up' again hormonally and mentally, and any physical problems should be dealt with - not used as a USP or suffered as a masochist.
Btw, I fear that such pretence about menstruation being inevitably incapacitating can be used by some people to deprive girls of their education and employment prospects.

Foxy, you're starting to sound like Donald Trump!
I have been 90 per cent sure of the 'lab leak theory' conclusion since watching the brilliant Crossroads documentary from Epoch TV, presented by Joshua Phillipp, on U-tube in April 2020 - now pretty well censored.
I support the gross negligence theory for the escape of the virus, rather than deliberate biological warfare.
Anthony Fauci funded the Wuhan Institute Virology to do gain-of-function research on viruses, using American taxpayers' money. This was against the will of Congress, which had supported a worldwide moratorium on this type of research. He was supported by Dr Peter Daczak, a British zoologist, and, in 2020, 'The Lancet' medical journal which published a letter signed by 28 doctors who had been tricked/persuaded to discredit the 'lab leak hypothesis'.as emanating from paranoid conspiracy theorists.

Silver Fox: NOBODY is 'trans'.
Also, England is not in the clear. The Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London is planning a whole new Department dedicated to 'phalloplasty', ie pretending that girls can be turned into boys, by taking the flesh from their forearm, rolling it up and attaching it to their groin and pretending it can be something resembling a penis. It can't be, of course. There will be mutilation of the arm, loss of any sexual function, sterility, a non-functioning piece of flesh, subsequent operations, infections, physical pain, disappointment. There is a 100 per cent failure rate.
All this will be done UNDER THE NHS, ie AT OUR EXPENSE.๐ก
