  2. The terms 'gender', 'feminine' and 'masculine' have no place outside a book of grammar. Biological entities do not have a gender. They have a sex - female or male. This is determined at conception and cannot be changed. It is essentialist, and therefore sexist, to have a prescribed, imagined menu of personality and sartorial characteristics which are claimed to define a woman or a man. In Western countries, at least, we have moved beyond the belief held by many upper- and middle-class Victorians that girls who read 'difficult' books would render themselves sterile, as it was an 'unfeminine' thing to do. Comparable damaging constraints were placed on males - they ought not to cry, for example. It would be backwards indeed to return to such stereotyping, and and that is the basis of 'Trans' ideology.
