  1. The gain-of-function research - outlawed by the American Congress - was funded in China by American taxpayers' money, through the National Institute of Health. This was against the will of Congress, who agreed that it was too dangerous a technique to be practised. See video of Dr Fauci being questioned on this in Congressional Committee.
