Remember Clive Ponting being acquitted by the jury when he was charged under the Official Secrets Act (Part 2), and the jury was recalled by the Judge Melford Stevenson to sit before him and be told how ghastly they were (a true wigging). This was, I think, in 1983. Ponting had made public some material referring to the sinking of the ancient Argentinian cruiser 'The General Belgrano' which reflected badly on Margaret Thatcher.
