  1. Simon, you are not a climate scientist. Climate science is of Byzantine complexity, and unless you would prefer to follow magic and witchcraft, which I propose would get us nowhere, the most rational - and safest - way of operating is to concur with the scientific consensus. If 99 per cent of clumate scientists agree that the data indicate that we are in a dangerous trend of anthropogenic global warming - I do not use the term 'climate change' as it is a euphemism - and that there is a more than 95 per cent probability of this being correct, then a non-magical person who has no vested financial interest in perpetrating lies will have to accept this *inconvenient truth*. Btw, discoveries can be made during the several months that it takes to produce a book. It seems that the outlook for the Great Barrier Reef is not quite as bleak as has previously been thought - good news! But there is still no room for complacency, or denial of the facts.
