  1. It's called Science, Simon. Re mildness of Covid: Long Covid is horrible. Its severity and duration is not correlated with the severity or otherwise of the original illness. Believe me, Long Covid is horrible. Try not to get it. Antivaxxers are stupid/ignorant and - unless vaccination is contraindicated for medical reasons, which applies to a small minority of people - antivaxxers are putting everyone else's life/health at risk, and impeding the achievement of herd immunity. Btw, several countries refuse entry to reception-class children unless they have received the required vaccinations. Also, in this country, practising doctors are required to receive a vaccination against hepatitis-B. I am absolutely convinced that if I had not been vaccinated against whooping-cough I should have died at age 10.
