  1. I am Scottish but I learned about King Alfred the Great and the cakes, and Nelson and Wellington - they were British by that time. I also learned about King Robert the Bruce and Sir William Wallace (but not about the manner of his death, thank goodness). We learned Scottish country dancing and sang songs whose lyrics were by Robert Burns - difficult musically, some of them. I don't know what Kim Jong McKrankie decrees for Scottish schoolchildren nowadays.
