The DSM is deeply theoretically flawed in its conception: the psychiatrists and psychologists who compile it attempt to be atheoretical and consensual at the same time. This encourages diagnostic drift and a proliferation of 'Categories' - also encouraged by the insurance situation. It is dualist, and cannot take into account co-morbidities, which occur in mental illness more often than not.

They need to know that the minute a child hints that they may be 'trans', 'non-binary' (whatever that is), feeling that they are 'in the wrong body', the child has to be educated about the FACTS of life and reproduction. The child should be told that their pronouns and name, while they are at school, will not change. They will wear the same clothes and use the same lavatory as before. They will not be eligible for a different sports team. The child must then immediately be referred for psychological/psychiatric assessment. The child must be instructed on the medical and surgical details and effects of 'transitioning' procedures - with graphics, if possible. The child should then see videos of detransitioners talking. The child should be reassured that it is perfectly acceptable in our society to be Lesbian, Gay or Bisexual, and that there is nothing wrong with being a butch girl or a camp boy. The parents must be told. Any teacher guilty of grooming pupils into the 'Trans' Religion/Industry or indoctrinating children politically must be instantly dismissed for gross misconduct, never allowed to teach again, and prosecuted for a serious criminal offence. This must be outlawed, and it is madness that in Britain at present private individuals are driven to sue Government Departments in courts of law to try to get them to obey THE LAW which is written in Statute.
