  1. As a pro-choice advocate, I think the saying 'my body, my choice' is a mistake. It gives an entry point to anti-abortionists who point out that a fetus is not 'one's body', by definition in a sexually reproducing species. A fetus may even be a different sex to the mother. I think it gives permission to anti-abortionists to accuse pro-choice advocates of callousness and unthinking narcissism, (which of course in the vast majority of people is not true). I can't think of a pithy slogan, but perhaps there shouldn't be one.
