Professor Sunetra Gupta, of Oxford University, and her American colleague, Professor Jay Battacharya, then of MIT, and others, were rendered 'unpersons' because they questioned the validity of Lockdowns. And anyone who mentioned their names was treated likewise. Thus, huge economic and psychological damage was done to many populations needlessly, which we are only now beginning to realise the extent of.
