Well, Hatun Tash, a slightly built young woman who was at Speaker's Corner preaching Christianity, was stabbed in the neck by a Muslim man - fortunately she survived - and *the police arrested HER*. The perpetrator ran off and the police, who were present in numbers, did not bother to chase him. So much for the police protecting women.
