The BBC recently introduced a 'highly respected' Imam, Haitham al-Haddad, resident in Britain, who maintains that the mutilation of the genitals of girls is probably 'necessary' but at least 'desirable' as part of the practice of Islam. He has also said that he does not miss Afghanistan, as 'Londonistan', as he calls it, is beginning to resemble it, which he welcomes.

  2. The problem with Muslims such as this one on the panel is that he wants one law for himself and his co-religionists, and another law - the law of the land - for the rest of us.
