Dimbleby told them that if they did not broadcast it, he would publish it himself, and would never work for the BBC again.

  9. To my memory - I was an adult at that time - people were VERY aware of The Troubles in Northern Ireland (and later Britain). Even Irish people i knew hated the IRA. It more than incenses me - it renders me incandescent - to hear current politicians costing up to leaders of Sinn Fein- IRA and casually talking about the 'inevitability' of the 'unification' of Ireland.
