  1. This sounds very reminiscent of Kellie-Jay Keen's experience in Bristol few days ago (?26 June 2024). She is a candidate, and Leader of the Party of Women, and she is standing in the General Election in Bristol on 4 July. 1 There was a hustings to which she was not invited. 2 When she went along to the venue of the hustings and entered it, she was met by a security guard who questioned her, and she was held standing for 40 minutes before being able to join the audience. 3 Although putting her hand up many times during the Q&A sessions, she was never picked to ask a question. 4 When she tried to give leaflets to other members of the audience - I think she managed to give out one - one of the organisers leapt to her feet, shouting, 'Stop her! She's giving out Fascist literature'. A rule was then hurridly made that nothing readable should be made available at a hustings. 5 When she left with two other women, one of whom is quite disabled, they were supervised by police almost until they had finished having refreshments in the cafe. Is it legal to attempt to prevent the participation of a candidate at a hustings?
