This has been proved beyond all reasonable doubt. Deniers fall into two categories: those who find the implications too worrying and depressing to admit; those who have a financial vested interest in denying scientific findings and continuing business as usual. Margaret Thatcher (former British Prime Minister) gave a speech to the United Nations saying that Global Warming is a greater danger to humanity than terrorism. That was in 1988.
