As a Scottish Unionist, not having lived in Scotland for several decades, I maintain that Scotland really does not have to do this - when you think of the inventions and culture that have originated in Scotland in the past few hundred years. There is absolutely no reason to feel inferior to anyone else in Britain or anywhere. Of course, if you don't appreciate David Hume, then perhaps this says something about you.

  16. In London going through Vauxhall by train, you see high-rise after high-rise which are obviously safe deposit boxes in the sky. Even in suburban London, in a development of flats and houses, the publicity leaflets said the properties would be marketed only in Hong Kong, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. They were sold before they were even completed.

  19. The problem is not usually caused by a cousin-cousin marriage occurring ONCE, but great problems usually arise when this happens generation after generation. Then the children can be super-closely related - even more closely related than average siblings. The disabilities suffered by many of these children are very severe, requiring extensive - and very expensive - lifelong treatment, paid for by the British taxpayer. There is also the effect of a one-off cousin-cousin marriage which tends to lower the IQ of the children by a measurable amount. Iceland, which has a population of about 350,000, has recognised the potential problem of closely related people having children together. To try to prevent this, they have developed an app to have on one's phone to show one's genealogy back for a number of generations, so that two people meeting for the first time can decide whether they will only be having coffee and lunch together, ot whether their relationship may progress to something else.

  35. The London Metropolitan Police need to be sacked - to a man and a woman, and to be replaced with intelligent people, educated - as is necessary for their job - in the law, and not tsinted by Queer Theory. That means the College of Policing needs to be disbanded.

  36. I don't think people can stand being 'atomised'. Everyone needs an affiliation and a project. If they do not have an immediate family, for whatever reason (and there are many possible ones), then the person finds groups of people they can agree with - at least to some extent - and have a common cause with - affiliation and project.

  37. If this is the case I am remembering, the victim was 14 years old, had been drinking and was in a vulnerable condition in a public park. About four men came across her, and attacked and raped her. They phoned some friends to invite them along, and the victim was raped by nine men, according to forensic evidence (examination of semen). The perpetrators videoed the actions on their phones and posted the footage. I think the slightly older woman who then came along, called the police and helped the victim is the one who then called (one of?) the rapists 'a pig' and was prosecuted and given ?about a week of community service.

The thing is: if a recognisable group of immigrants practise a custom which is intolerable to their host society, and they are deported BECAUSE OF THIS PRACTICE, it is dishonest to say that they are being deported because of the way they look or for some other reason - *racism*! But this will undoubtedly be said. The difference with the Jews in Nazi Germany is that what the Nazis were saying was not true. It WAS racism in that case.

  42. The new wheeze from the Government is that we - the taxpayers - will pay Serco to buy up properties for illegal immigrants to live in - mainly renting (they pay nothing, of course). The owners will be made offers they can't refuse. The taxpayer will give the owner a huge amount guaranteed for at least five years, maintenance and refurbishment, furnishing. Everything paid for by the taxpayer, and the result will be NO PROPERTIES AVAILABLE FOR BRITISH PEOPLE TO RENT OR BUY.

  43. Nick, yes we know that there are child- SA criminals in many contexts - the Churches, schools, youth Organisations, etc, the perpetrators being of all origins, but mainly indigenous white men. However, the 'grooming gangs' we are talking about are different. The culture of these men accepts what they are doing as being perfectly normal and even desirable. This is manifested by the attitude to the accused exhibited by their families in Court - 'We love you dad!', shouted as the guilty appalling abuser of children is being taken down to the cells. And, when they are let out of prison after three or four years, they return to their community with no difficulty, and walk around freely, bunping into their victims who still live in the same town. The culture within Pakistan where there men originate is particularly sexist, and their literal reading of the Qu'ran allows them to regard 'kufar' girls as inferior beings, and treat them as such. The question of age of their prey does not arise as (a) they genuinely believe that sex with a child is morally acceptable, and (b) they do not recognise British law as applying to them. The clan system (buraderie) encourages collaboration in criminal acts, and inappropriate loyalties.

  46. I watched three spherical, five-feet-two women police officers trying and failing to arrest a man in a cafe who was behaving objectionably. He was not violent but did not want to be arrested. Eventually, they were helped by a male colleague - also looking very unfit and overweight, btw.
