If you don't know the implications of this, please try to read the memoirs of old - probably now deceased - gynaecologists. Also, please try to find out about El Salvador's abortion laws, where a woman can be put in prison for miscarrying or having a stillbirth - she is automatically deemed to have committed infanticide. I am talking of sentences of up to 30 years (although they tend to be commuted to 10 years). I am talking as one who has never had an abortion, although I am pro-choice as I think the alternative is worse.
