  1. I think it's probably the difference between Specialised or Specific AI and General AI. The first can be used to be quick and accurate in doing tedious things that humans do badly - counting the red blood cells per millilitre of blood, for example. General AI is producing something like a brain that can learn by experience. Not only that - they can be connected to 'experience' all the others' experience (see 1950s SF novel 'The Midwich Cuckoos' by John Wyndham, filmed as 'The Village of the Damned'). It scares the wits out of me. But then, I am a Luddite. But Elon Musk and Sam Elman are not.
