What women talk about at these meetings is one of the following: (a) concern about women's spaces being eliminated - in toilets and changing room, in prisons (where women prisoners have been raped), in hospitals including on psychiatric wards, in sporting events, and even trying to eliminate us from the language - the Cambridge dictionary has altered its definition of women to include mentally ill men. (b) the danger to children of Gender Ideology: children being taught lies in schools from the earliest age (five), sexualised (why?), and put on a conveyer belt to 'transition'. (c) their own lived experience. Sometimes this is relevant professionally, eg if they are in medicine or education. Sometimes it is purely personal. It is always relevant and riveting. Why do we have to do it in the open air? Because venues are afraid to accommodate us - death threats to the managers, threats of fire-bombing the premises. We know what we are up against.
