PREVENT: I don't want us to need, in this country, an Organisation specially set up to PREVENT people from committing terrorism, and a noble Lord then proudly saying that it has been working very well as it has prevented lots of people from committing terrorism. I understand also that our Security Services have on a watch list 40,000 people who they regard as dangerous to our life and limb. I don't want PREVENT to need to exist. I don't want the Security Services to be occupied with watching 40,000 potential terrorists. I just don't want the people they might call their clients to be in this vountry.
