  1. This is the sort of thing we expect to happen in Iran, not Britain. No woman or girl in Manchester area can feel safe until these police officers are brought to book. I am sick of this. Quite apart from their behaviour - unlawful arrest, strip searching, and what else in the police station? - there is the deliberate dereliction of duty - destruction of evidence, malignant lack of cooperation, mendacity, discrediting of witness. This seems to be becoming the norm. We have the 'grooming gangs' as the apparently normal example of how the police expect to behave. This has to stop. We are in sore need of a police force to fight crime, not to bully and mistreat non-criminals.
