  2. Peter Lynch had no previous convictions, but he had problems with his thyroid, had diabetes, and had recently had a heart attack. He was convicted of 'violent disorder', which appears to have been redefined as 'being rude to the police'. He was named as 'a conspiracy theorist' - I wasn't aware that being a conspiracy theorist was a criminal offence. He carried a poster claiming that several British and supranational Institutions and Organisations, eg the WHO, were 'corrupt'. Everything said on the poster was literally true. He was sentenced to 2 years 8 months in prison by Mr Justice Jeremy Richardson, KC, who is on record of going out of his way to treat the sexual abusers of children leniently, sometimes sparing them a custodial sentence, sometimes entreating the Press to preserve their anonymity.
