The response of the Metropolitan Police to the complaints about the brandishing of the Shahada flag by a black-clad man while yelling 'Jihad, jihad, jihad' in the middle of the 'pro-Palestinian' demonstration in a London street, was that it refers to a spiritual struggle against sin. We then discovered that the person who advised the police on such matters - Mr Malik - was leading the chant of 'From the river to the sea' in one of the 'pro-Palestinian' demonstrations. Now that this has been made public, I believe he has since been dismissed from the police force (is it still a force?) - at leasr, that is what I read in 'The Times'.
