When I asked my MP in September 2020 - before the advent of Covid vaccines - whether the illegal immigrants arriving by dinghy on the south coast were being tested for Covid 19, and the officials dealing with them were wearing PPE, after three emails and two and a half months I received an email of about 10,000 words lecturing me for calling 'asylum seekers' illegal immigrants. There is no such thing as an illegal immigrant, apparently, and it is our duty to take in as many people as possible. They are all huge assets to this country, and we can't have too many. It is very reactionary to suggest otherwise (at least the word 'Fascist' was not used). The answer to my question, at the end of acreeds of lecturing plus an illustrated CV and details of her doings of the previous weeks? 'I expect so.'
