  1. Shouldn't Jeremy Isaacs' TV 'History of the Second World War' (1975?), narrated by Sir Lawrence Olivier, be shown to all secondary school pupils as part of their History curriculum? A problem could be that, as I remember, it is 26 × one-hour episodes. Perhaps this just means that they need more History. The BBC also did a great Radio 4 two-episode adaptation of Nicholas Montserrat's epic novel, 'The Cruel Sea' in which he told about his experience in the Atlantic Convoys and the Arctic Convoys.
