  1. The whole process tells us a lot about what we would rather not know about the apparent quality of psychoanalysis/psychotherapy in California. Proper psychotherapy would have defused the desire to display these feelings and thoughts in public, and would have alleviated the analysand's suffering. It is tragic that someone who obviously needs guidance is not getting it.
