  2. The Takvir - 'Allahu Akbar' may literally mean 'God is great', but it is shouted as a war-cry. It is shouted to establish dominance and ownership over a territory or a situation - remembering that we are a Dar el-Harb, ie a land of war, to be conquered and turned Muslim to add to the worldwide Caliphate.

  3. Armin Navabi of 'Atheist Republic' (sorry Connor) reads out a passage from John Stuart Mill's 'On Liberty' at the end of his latest - recommended - podcast about the two-tier policing in the UK. I am thinking of sending this to Starmer and Cooper. Who knows - someone in their offices may read it.
