  1. After the sentencing, the BBC World Service Radio reported it as - I think - the third item in The News. It was explicitly stated that the crimes had no connection with terrorism. There was no mention of the Al-Qaida manual, no mention of ricin, no mention of his conversion to Islam, and no mention of the details of the crime, or of the perpetrator's previous record of behaviour. The impression was that a young man had stabbed three girls to death. That was it.
