  1. The modern cannabis is quite different from the cannabis of yore (eg when the Rolling Stones were first in the charts). That was organically grown and usually imported (smuggled in) from Morocco or Afghanistan. The cannabis pushed now is genetically modified to be much stronger (×2, ×5, or even by a factor of 10) in the psycho-active component. It is normally grown in this country in clandestine cannabis farms, often using trafficked child slave labour. Smoking or otherwise taking this strong cannabis (spice), especially from an early age (eg 13) and in quantity (six or seven spliffs *per day*) is extremely dangerous. It may well cause severe brain damage or push someone who has a genetic vulnerability into schizophrenia.
