  1. Seeing this nearly a year later, it's a rather humorous attempt at playing fast and loose with the facts. But this admission by WaPo here just proves how ridiculous the hysteria is with the Democrats regarding Trump's talk about opposition research as being unethical and 'textbook illegal'. If this is so, then virtually everyone in Washington D.C., and so many politicians and media nation wide and overseas should be put in jail for collecting and using opposition research. Heck, maybe even the Wa Po itself would be guilty of opposition research and ought to all get locked up too.
