  1. I used to watch YT videos on Linux, until I got tired about how they praised modern wall paper and crisp fonts and animations. But the most annoying was how much they said this or that distro was perfect for helping Windows users transition to Linux. I'm supposedly one of those people because I'd been on Windows since 3.11 up through 10 (I absolutely despise 11). You know which distros appeal to me? Arch based distrows with tiling, with functioning pipewire for music creation and Wayland as it becomes a solid compositor, and Hyperland. In other words, the things that these 'it's just like Windows!' cheerleaders would freak out and tell me that they will be the worst experience for me. And yet, I love Arch. LfS interests me, especially to be able to make a fully personal desktop, rather than the 'just like Windows!' pandering they keep telling me I should want instead.Why? The whole point for crossing over to Linux was freedom FROM Windows. Why would I want just another Windows clone when I have options to try something new and different? 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️
