  1. I used to deliver appliances for a living to peoples homes all over Southeast Michigan...From the richest in Birmingham and to neighborhoods like these in Detroit. Sometimes there were more burned out houses than homes. This was more of a life lesson than a job, the rich that I would deliver $60,000 worth of appliances to couldn't be bothered to tip me bringing in 800lb units with a dolly. While on possibly one of these streets, the whole neighborhood would be waiting for Grandmas new $500 stove to be delivered by us. We would get hugs and kisses and be welcomed back for dinner.
